جبل عمان Amman Cetidal

قلعة عمان، المعروفة محليًا باسم جبل القلعة، هي موقع أثري يقع في وسط مدينة عمان، الأردن. يتميز هذا الموقع التاريخي بأنه كان مأهولًا بالسكان بشكل مستمر منذ العصر الحجري الحديث وشهد صعود وسقوط العديد من الحضارات، بما في ذلك العمونيين، الآشوريين، البابليين، الفرس، اليونانيين، الرومان، البيزنطيين، والأمويين. تشمل الهياكل الرئيسية في الموقع معبد هرقل، كنيسة بيزنطية، وقصر أموي. كما يقع متحف الآثار الأردني، الذي تأسس في عام 1951، على التل ويضم مجموعة من القطع الأثرية من فترات زمنية مختلفة. تُعتبر القلعة ذات أهمية تاريخية وأثرية، حيث تقدم رؤى حول الماضي الواسع للمنطقة.

The Amman Citadel, known locally as Jabal al-Qal’a, is an archaeological site located in the center of downtown Amman, Jordan. This historic site has been continuously occupied since the Neolithic period and has seen the rise and fall of many civilizations, including the Ammonites, Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, and Umayyads. Key structures at the site include the Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine church, and the Umayyad Palace. The Jordan Archaeological Museum, established in 1951, is also located on the hill and houses a collection of artifacts from various periods. The Citadel is significant for its historical and archaeological value, offering insights into the region’s extensive past.
