جبل نيبو 🏔️ Mount Nebo

جبل نيبو في الأردن. له أهمية تاريخية كبيرة حيث يُعتقد أنه المكان الذي مُنح فيه موسى عليه السلام رؤية الأرض الموعودة قبل وفاته، وفقًا للكتاب المقدس. يضم الموقع كنيسة موسى التذكارية، التي بُنيت في القرن الرابع وتم توسيعها لاحقًا لتصبح بازيليكا. تحتوي الكنيسة على فسيفساء بيزنطية محفوظة جيدًا تصور مشاهد مختلفة. من المعالم البارزة تمثال الحية النحاسية، الذي يرمز إلى الحية النحاسية التي صنعها موسى في البرية حسب الكتاب المقدس. يوفر جبل نيبو إطلالات بانورامية على وادي الأردن والبحر الميت، وفي الأيام الصافية، يمكن رؤية القدس. يُعتبر الموقع ذا أهمية دينية وتاريخية وأثرية.

Mount Nebo in Jordan holds significant historical importance as it is believed to be the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land before his death, according to the Bible. The site features the Memorial Church of Moses, built in the 4th century and later expanded into a basilica. The church contains well-preserved Byzantine mosaics depicting various scenes. A notable feature is the Brazen Serpent sculpture, symbolizing the bronze serpent created by Moses in the wilderness according to the Bible. Mount Nebo offers panoramic views of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and, on clear days, Jerusalem. The site is significant for its religious, historical, and archaeological value.
